Now that's a treat

Thumbing through the New York Times' Sunday edition is always a weekend treat, but even more so this past Sunday. There, in T magazine, was this tasty news: Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth House....in gingerbread.
Created by New York-based April Reed Cake Design, the gingerbread house features fondant-covered walls, poured-sugar glass windows and sugar-paste I-beams and staircases. Of course, much like the real-life masterpiece, this treat doesn't come cheap: The gingerbread version costs $4,230. On the upside, 15 percent of the proceeds go to help repair the actual Farnsworth House, which was damaged by flooding this past fall.
